Why my Samsung Galaxy S4 back buttons and options button not working?

Some people are complaining about the menu and back buttons not working after they upgrade the Android version or replace the whole new Samsung Galaxy S4 LCD screen assembly. Here are some suggestions to solve the issues:

1. Do a soft reboot. Press and hold the power button for 8 - 10 seconds, a dialogue box will come up, select reboot. A reboot will fix a lot of the little problems.
2. Go to settings > my device > display > touch key light duration, set to 1.5 seconds
3. Entering *#*#2663#*#* into the dialler and updating the touch key firmware.
4. Backup your phone data and do a factory reset.
5. Installation error. Either cable incorrectly / incompletely connected, other connection is dislodged or the worst case is the assembly is damaged during the installation.

If you suspect you damage the assembly during the repair, we suggest you to contact the nearest repair shop in the neighbourhood or buy from cellphoneage again:
